Perito Moreno Glacier Walkways with Lunch

In El Calafate, in the majestic Argentine Patagonia, a tour rich in activities awaits you, full of exciting and unforgettable experiences for the whole family. In this magical destination, you will have the opportunity to explore the rich history of the region, admire breathtaking landscapes, and experience moments of pure emotion. Afterward, we will head to a typical Patagonian estancia to enjoy not only stunning landscapes and a rich history but also a wonderful buffet lunch.

After picking up our passengers at their hotels around 11 a.m. (For those staying in Airbnb accommodations, we will communicate the nearest pickup location the night before), we head towards Ruta 11, with a beautiful view of Lake Argentino, estancias, and beautiful mountains.

Arriving at Estancia Tierras Patagónicas, we will encounter privileged nature amidst mountains, a beautiful river just meters away from the restaurant, with beautiful viewpoints to enjoy all this surreal and beautiful nature.

Surely after taking many photos, we will head to the restaurant for a delicious “buffet” lunch with a wide variety of dishes, including typically Brazilian dishes. The lunch includes a drink (water, soda, glass of wine, or beer) and a dessert.

After lunch, everyone will be taken back to our transportation and driven to Los Glaciares National Park; At the entrance of Los Glaciares National Park, the guide will pay for everyone in the excursion. Please note that the payment for the national park must be made upon entering the park by each passenger, and only Argentine pesos are accepted. (Please check the park entrance fee).

Once we enter the National Park, we still have a half-hour journey until we reach the walkways, but along the way, we get a “preview” of what awaits us, already having some breathtaking landscapes.

#Optional Navigation

Passengers who opt for this navigation will have an adventure of approximately 1 hour on Lake Argentino before walking on the walkways.

We depart from Puerto Moreno, located at the foot of the coastal walkways, over the Canal de Los Témpanos. From there, our boat will reach the north wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier in seconds. We will stop for a while in front of the area where (every few years) the famous glacier rupture occurs. Then, we will navigate slowly in front of the entire width of the north wall. During the tour, you can appreciate the height of its walls, the extension of the said wall, and if we are lucky and the glacier wants, we may see beautiful detachments. The boat guide will provide an explanation about the glacier and assist passengers throughout the navigation.

After the (optional) navigation, the group gathers now on the way to the walkways. Upon arriving at the walkways, we are faced with the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier.

As you approach this immense mass of ice, the magnitude of nature will envelop you. Walking on the walkways, you may be lucky to hear the sound of cracks and ice falls, a natural symphony that echoes in the souls of travelers. And in any case, it reassures us to know that this glacier is one of the few in the world that is not receding, meaning that every piece of ice you see falling, there is the certainty that more ice is “born,” and the certainty that the glacier will continue to cause impact and emotion for a long time.
