Itinerary
We pick you up from your hotel and head towards a private port on the shores of Lake Argentino to embark on the cruise that will take us to this fantastic experience.
Around 9:00 am, we set off northwest towards the Spegazzini Glacier. Right from the start, we can admire the beauties of Punta Avellaneda and the Boca del Diablo, the narrowest part of Lake Argentino with a width of approximately 800 meters, while enjoying the nature of the surrounding North Arm.
We continue navigating through the Spegazzini Canal to encounter the majestic Spegazzini Glacier. The navigation allows us to approach the glacier with frontal walls between 80 to 135 meters above the lake level, where we make a stop at the Posto de Las Vacas bay for a guided walk, with a view of the glacier from the old settlers’ Post and where we will explore the flora and fauna of the region.
Next, we head through the Upsala Canal until we reach the Herminita Peninsula, the limit allowed by the National Parks, where we will have a panoramic view of the Upsala Glacier.
We continue the navigation through the iceberg channel until we reach the northern wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. After admiring the beauty of this giant, we then head to the private port La Soledad and then to El Calafate to conclude this perfect combination between you and Patagonia.
Observations:
In case of unavailability on the chosen date, the day and/or period may be subject to changes. This route is subject to change according to the captain’s criteria. The region has a cold and dry climate, with the possibility of precipitation throughout the year, especially in late autumn. In winter, there is snow presence. We recommend comfortable layered clothing and waterproof footwear, gloves, and thermal hats. We also recommend the use of sunscreen, lip balm, and sunglasses.
