Itinerary
The Glaciar Perito Moreno is one of the most beautiful and emblematic landscapes of Patagonia. Take the opportunity to see it in various and intense ways!!
Different from Mini Trekking, this is an experience for those who want to explore Perito Moreno with a more intense physical walk, covering twice the distance and getting to know even more glacier formations.
This unforgettable experience starts at the “Bajo de las Sombras” Port, where we embark on a 20-minute navigation to cross the Brazo Rico. We get very close to the Glacier, and at this moment, we have the fantastic perception of how large it is.
Before we climb the Glaciar Perito Moreno, we will visit a huge waterfall just a few meters from the glacier, a unique experience with nature.
The mountain guides will take us even closer to the glacier to get the crampons and form groups of up to 10 people to start the approach crossing.
Once on the glacier and with the crampons on, the world takes on a new perspective: blue lagoons, deep cracks, huge sinkholes, magical caves, and other incredible glacier formations.
During the approximately 3-hour walk, the guides will explain about the flora and fauna and the general glaciology of the region, explaining the specific phenomenon of Perito Moreno Glacier ruptures.
We sit on the glacier to rest and have time to appreciate and take beautiful photos, and if you wish, to have a snack (not included). It’s a fantastic experience to be there, sitting on the glacier surrounded by mountains.
With our energy restored, we continue walking until we return to the starting point, where we remove the crampons and descend to the port.
We return to the boat satisfied and with this new adventure to tell.
Then we pass through the walkways to observe the Glaciar Perito Moreno from the front. We see the beautiful blue tone of this immense glacier and take the opportunity to photograph it with a more open view angle, observing how it rises from the lake to the mountaintops, to return to “civilization” after having enjoyed one of the most spectacular ice trekking tours in the world.
