Itinerary
The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most beautiful and iconic landscapes in Patagonia. Enjoy seeing it in its various and intense forms!!
This unforgettable experience begins at the “Bajo de las Sombras” Port, where we embark on a 20-minute navigation to cross the Brazo Rico. We get very close to the glacier, giving us a fantastic perception of its size.
Mountain guides will take you even closer to the glacier to get the crampons and form groups of up to 10 people to start the approach crossing.
Once on the glacier and with the crampons on, the world takes on a new perspective: blue lagoons, deep cracks, huge sinkholes, magical caves.
During the approximately 1.5-hour walk, the guides explain about the flora and fauna and the general glaciology of the region, explaining the specific phenomenon of Perito Moreno Glacier ruptures.
We sit on the glacier to rest and have time to admire and take beautiful photos, and if desired, to eat a snack (not included). It’s a fantastic experience to be there, sitting on the glacier surrounded by mountains.
With refreshed energy, we continue walking until we return to the starting point, where we remove the crampons and descend to the port.
We return to the boat satisfied and with yet another adventure to tell.
We then pass through the walkways to observe the Perito Moreno Glacier from the front. We see the beautiful blue tone of this immense glacier and take the opportunity to photograph it with a wider angle of view, observing how it rises from the lake to the mountaintops, before returning to “civilization” after having enjoyed one of the most spectacular ice treks in the world.
