Calafate Night (Astrotourism)

Everyone dreams of living a magical moment, surrounded by incredible landscapes and starry nights. And there’s a place where you can experience the best of astronomy while discovering the charms of nature. Patagonia stands out for being a diverse, colorful, varied place, perfect for those who love to explore magical places and have unique experiences. Thanks to its location, destinations like El Calafate and the Magellan Peninsula are ideal for enjoying clear skies. Traveling to these places, exploring them during the day, and allowing yourself to relax under the stars at night is always worth experiencing.

7:30 PM – Hotel Pick Up

Starting at 7:30 PM, we will pick you up at the hotel. The day before, we will confirm the Pick-Up time. Traveling along Provincial Route No. 11, we will go to Estancia Tierras Patagónicas, 30 km from El Calafate, very close to the entrance of Los Glaciares National Park.

On the way, you can enjoy an incredible view of Lake Argentino with the Andes Mountains in the background, as well as the flora and fauna of the region.

Arrival at Estancia Tierras Patagónicas

Upon arrival, around 8:30 PM, you will have free time to explore the surroundings of the Estancia, then you will learn about the history of the place and enjoy the natural environment that surrounds it.

Dinner

Around 9:00 PM, we will all head to the restaurant, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner with a panoramic view of the hills surrounding the Estancia.

Dinner is in the style of “BUFFET WITH DELICIOUS PASTAS AND SAUCES”:

Includes: Long pastas, lasagna bolognese, sorrentinos or ravioli, and gnocchi.

All accompanied by 4 cheese, bolognese, white sauce, and fillet sauces.

Dessert.

1 bottle of wine for every 2 people or

1 soft drink or mineral water per person.

Gluten-free/vegan option available upon prior notice.

Sky and Stars Observation (Astrotourism)

Around 10:00 PM, there will be a brief 15-minute film projection to introduce people to astronomy and preview what will be appreciated in a few minutes.

Then, it will be time to see the stars. The astronomer will make initial presentations and guide you on how to observe the sky, use the telescope, learn about the Milky Way, nebulae, stars, constellations, mythology, and in addition to star observation, we will do night photography, called “Astrophotography,” and also have fun doing Light Painting!

Notes
In case the weather is not conducive to star observation, etc., the client will be informed and will have the option to take the tour on another date or receive a full refund.

Even in summer, we recommend bringing appropriate clothing for intense cold, as many nights the temperature drops significantly at the Estancia, reaching 0 or even lower.

If the client wants to consume other drinks, they will be available for purchase.
