Antarctic Experience with Snowmobile

Imagine getting to know the only original Antarctic car from the 1960s in all of South America?

Learning its history and many others involving Antarctica… all surrounded by Patagonian forests, medieval torches, and oil lamps, walking with snowshoes along the snowy path, riding with excitement for 5 km on snowmobiles, having fun on a butt skiing track, and to finish off, a musical gathering inside a heated refuge.

But it doesn’t end there; you will also savor a delicious cheese fondue with meat and chicken and delightful sauces, drinks at will, either wine or soda, and ending with a chocolate cascade with fruits. You will feel like you’re in a movie, and better yet, you will be the main actor (actress).

It all begins when we pick you up from your accommodation between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm, we travel along Route 3, and arrive at our “film studio,” the Winter Park Austral, where every winter day we record a beautiful film that will be forever etched in your memory.

The Winter Park Austral is the world’s only winter center from Brazilians to Brazilians.

Upon arrival, the whole group will be greeted with a delicious hot chocolate to warm up a bit, after all, temperatures are generally below zero, and then we will visit the only motorcycle museum in Patagonia, where we will see and hear stories of motorcycles and adventurers who have made impressive trips for decades. There you can see replicas and very old motorcycles, and also taste the only Gin produced in Tierra del Fuego. For Gin lovers, you can choose and take home a beautiful bottle or can of Gin as a souvenir.

Starting our activities, before our walk through the Patagonian forests, we will see and admire a true and original Antarctic car from the 1960s, which will be presented to everyone with a bit of its history in Antarctica, and of course, we will all travel back in time hearing real stories from the frozen continent, including one that has become a book and a true movie. At this moment, the atmosphere and energy will already be incredible.

Together, we will walk through the Fuegian forests for about 20 minutes. The path, a real “film set,” with torches all along it and some in the group holding their oil lamps to add even more excitement to the excursion.

We will arrive at our Nordic refuge, where around us there are only Patagonian forests, a frozen river, Andes mountain ranges, and some people “amazed” by this very special itinerary. A good time to turn off all the oil lamps and leave only the starry sky’s illumination, the “sound” of the wind in the forest, and let your imagination take flight.

At this point, some may stay warm in the Nordic refuge, another group will have fun on the butt skiing track, an optional and free ride for those who wish, and another group will go for 25 minutes on snowmobiles. It’s 5 km of adrenaline and excitement, hearing the engines roar, the headlights illuminating this context, and ensuring a successful “movie,” with a full box office of people who will want to see your photos.

The group will be divided into 2 groups, and everyone will do all activities and have their support point in the refuge.

At the end of the activities, everyone will be invited inside the refuge to enjoy a delicious cheese fondue with meat, chicken, among other things, accompanied by a good Argentine wine or other beverages, wine, water, soda. Free drinks and food.

At some point, a very original and cheerful character will appear to sing and play a guitar. For those who wish to dance, there is ample space for that too!!!

After indulging in the fondue, we will have a tasty chocolate cascade with fruits to conclude the gastronomic part on a high note. After all, it doesn’t end there… the adventure continues; we have the way back through the forests and torches, and at this moment, the group will put on snowshoes, which are large shoes to help walk in the snow, still used today in remote places with a lot of snow, and together with the guide, we will walk among the forests until we reach the entrance of Park Austral.

This entire excursion has been prepared in detail so that you can intensely enjoy every moment in a spectacular setting, making this experience completely unique in your life.

After all this, we return to our vehicle and take you back to reality.

Without a doubt, this will be one of the most beautiful experiences of your life.

Note: Wine will only be available after everyone has ridden the snowmobile, avoiding any possibility of driving under the influence.
